About Audrey Vassell:
Audrey Vassell is native New Yorker, wife, mother, and grandmother who’s lived in the Atlanta area for over 25 years. She is on a mission to help women ages 40 and over age with confidence and to dispel the myth associated with transitioning through mid-life.
Audrey started her journey 25 years ago as a former hairstylist. She understands the important role that beauty and confidence affect how we see ourselves. She believes in empowering women and celebrating life.
Her passion led her to creating Glam Essentials, a beauty company company for women over 40. She recognized that these women were not part of the conversations that the beauty industry was having.
She created skincare specifically to address some of challenges these women experience as they transition through mid-life. Besides skincare she's also working on bringing cosmetics and haircare products to women.
Audrey's 24 Hour Challenge:
This is a challenge that was given to me, and I just thought it was really powerful. And even though this is a 24-hour challenge, I challenge women to do it every day. So, the first thing is when you get up in the morning and you see yourself in the mirror. You smile. Because we're just all thankful to just be here another day. Second thing is that you say your name. Because my name is Audrey, I would say Audrey, "You are relevant, you are beautiful, and I love you." You'll be surprised when you see yourself say those words to yourself, how impactful and how powerful it is. I hope that every woman who is listening to this podcast can do it and feel the power from it.
