Ratik is an incoming engineer at Tesla and a recent graduate from the electrical engineering program at the Schulich School of Engineering. He is passionate about using technology to inspire change in the world around him and loves all things related to computers, especially microcontrollers, networking, and computer hardware. In the past, Ratik has interned at Versa Networks and Tesla over the course of his degree, where he’s worked across the technology stack from low-level hardware design to application-level software.
On campus, Ratik is involved with the Relectric Car Team, Engineering Students’ Society, and Scholars Academy. As the founder and executive lead of Relectric, he mentors and guides his team to developing electric car technology and lowering the barrier of entry for mass electric vehicle adoption. On the Engineering Students' Society, he helps represent student voices and push engineering education further as President. In his free time, Ratik can be found mountain biking, playing with his dog, or at the gym!
In this episode, we discuss Ratik’s journey to where he is today, how he founded Relectric, how he interned for Tesla and Versa Networks, how he excels in academics while keeping busy with extracurriculars, how he manages his time effectively, his role as the President of the Engineering Students’ Association, and much more. Have fun listening!
