we interrupt our regularly scheduled quasi-music programming for an episode about the NBA. after james harden went to China, went ballistic on his own GM in front of a bunch of teenagers, and then did some tiktok dances, we decided to call up our friend Yaron Weitzman, NBA writer for Fox Sports and author of Tanking to the Top: The Philadelphia 76ers and the Most Audacious Process in the History of Professional Sports, and have him help us understand what the hell is going on here. yaron also told us about a very funny story about the time he interviewed james harden, the particulars of being an NBA reporter, and whether he’s worried that Paul George is going to steal his job. 

we recorded this episode on monday and are very glad that nothing really huge happened with the james harden thing while we were editing it.
