On the 15th of September 2023, Essex police raid a home on Pump Hill in Great Baddow near Chelmsford. They are looking for an elderly couple, 70-year-old John and his wife 71-year-old Lois McCullough. They have not been seen anyone in four years and Essex County council’s safeguarding team wanted police to do a welfare check.
Police smash the open door, crawl in from the bottom. “it’s the police! Stay where you are!” pointing what I believe to be a teaser gun.
35-year-old, Virginia seems to be the only occupant in the house. She’s the couple’s youngest daughter. She’s calm and collected when police arrive and listens to everything police as to say. Then she says,
“I need to tell you about what’s on the top floor as well.”
“My dad’s body’s in there.”
Police shocked by Virginia nonchalant demeanor respond, “right, okay. Where’s your mum.”
“Erm, a little more complicated,
“Where will we find your mum?”
Virginia McCullough goes to explain where exactly her mum was and what exactly happened to her parents. When she’s finished, she turns to an officer and says,
“Cheer up, at least you’ve caught the bad guy.”
But what happened to Virginia’s parents? And what exactly did Virginia do to become the “bad guy”?
This is the case of Virginia McCullough, episode 15 on Despicable Beings.
