Claudia Monacelli earned her Ph.D. from Heriott Watt University (2005). Professor 1981-present at the University of Bologna, the International University of Rome UNINT, Italian Senate, Italian Army. Claudia was also a Professional Conference Interpreter in Italy from 1981 up to the present. This experience overlapped with both teaching and interpreting assignments in Italy.

Added to the professional experience listed, she has consulted with both the Italian and U.S. governments on topics ranging from educational policies to cybersecurity. Her areas of research include sociolinguistics and archetypal psychology.
