LEAVE FEEDBACK / SAY HI
Emotional addiction is different from any other addiction because we’re living the emotional experience so much more often and so closely that most of the time we are not aware of it. Emotional addiction is a state where the person is dependent on their emotions. In this case, the person depends on the chemicals produced by the brain when particular emotions are triggered, better known as “hit emotions.”
We’re all in some way addicted to feeling a certain way and when we’re looking for familiar emotions that makes us feel safe, good, and comfortable, essentially we’re looking for a sense of familiarity. To give you some examples, it can be ..let’s say .. series of typical behavior, like constant venting, and the need to relive negative experiences.
