Cameron Blight’s football story is as raw and authentic as it gets. From hitchhiking to Wynyard as a teenager for under-15 tryouts, to representing Tasmania, pulling on the Mariners, Carlton and Northern Bullant’s jumpers, and becoming a mainstay with the Tassie Devils, Blight’s career is a tale of grit, resilience and passion for the game. He played under some of the state’s great coaches, won multiple premierships with Clarence, and was recognised with William Leitch Medal honours and team of the year selections. Beyond his playing career, he’s guided teams from Smithton to Kingsborough, mentored the next generation through Hutchins School, and stamped his mark as both player and coach. This is a journey through the highs, the setbacks, and the deep love for Tasmanian footy.
