About Michael:
Prior to transitioning to the venture capital and innovation industry in 2017, Mike spent over a decade in the Oil & Gas sector, specializing in deep-sea operations as a saturation diver, working at depths of up to -250 meters subsea. Since 2017, he has been actively involved in angel investment, early-stage funding, and fostering innovation by organizing international conferences.
Over the years, he honed his skills in cultivating high-value relationships, identifying investment opportunities, and promoting innovative solutions across the European startup ecosystem - with a special focus on CEE. In his role at Wolves Summit, he played a crucial part in expanding our conference's reach from a domestic Poland-based event to a pan-European gathering, attracting a diverse international audience.
Recently joining forces with Global Corporate Venturing, he leverages his broad network across the region to assist GCV’s CEE expansion plans. Mike possesses a nuanced understanding of the intricacies of both early-stage funding, large-scale innovation conferences, innovation projects, and corporate venturing.
Through his own experiences navigating the most challenging aspects of entrepreneurship, Mike is a passionate and prominent advocate for the potential of altered states of consciousness and psychedelic-assisted therapy.
