Here we learned how to introduce yourself in Medumba with Herve Charles Yondo.
Vocabulary Key:
Lain sam beu a ___ = My name is
Lain su beu a weu? = What’s your name
===
He mentioned how important it is to learn Medumba. It’s a rich and well-known language, and he believes that it’s really important to learn it. There’s plenty of languages, and it’s important to integrate these languages (even though there are many) into your daily life. #Cameroon is such a linguistically diverse country, and there’s plenty of ways that parents, and even friends can help those who are willing to learn. Keep talking, and keep practicing!
We’re really happy that this wonderful individual volunteered to be interviewed by us. We were interviewing in French, and if you’re interested in being interviewed (even in English) feel free to use the Anchor.fm app to contact us. Even if it’s just with your questions regarding the language, we can most likely achieve an answer to those questions and more through a follow-up episode. Also, it’s ALWAYS a pleasure hearing from you! Meu laptai u!
