Bio of Guest
At the age of ten, Shama immigrated from Bangladesh with her family. She spends her career in the nonprofit sector, hoping to make a difference in the lives of those often overlooked in our community.
Outside of her professional endeavors, she is a published writer. Her eagerly anticipated memoir, โShe Called Me Throwaway,โ is set to captivate readers when it launches in the fall of 2024.
She is currently working on her second book, โFrom the Promise to the Pursuit: the American Dream,โ which highlights immigrantsโ and refugeesโ journey to America and is scheduled to launch in late 2024. www.writershama.com
