Today, Lori is joined by Rachel Lavin. Rachel is a Published author of The Doughnut Diaries, Professional Speaker, Body Love Coach, Certified Health Coach, Certified Personal Trainer. In 2000 Rachel started as an ACE certified group fitness instructor moving into big box and independent personal training roles from 2007 and beyond. She then became an ACE Health Coach in 2018. In 2020 Rachel wrote her first book "The Doughnut Diaries" about her own struggles with her weight and restrictive diets which lasted for over thirty years. At 40, Rachel got sick and tired of being sick and tired hit home and she made a decision to take her power back and heal from decades of negative thinking and self sabotage. Rachel began to do the work on my mind, body and soul. Now Rachel helps people who experience negative body image. By using what she now refers to as my three pillars of fitness. In this episode, we speak about those three pillars, body love, the importance of movement and self acceptance. This was a great conversation to understand how body positivity can impact your goals.
