đż Oasis: Tribe with the Vibes
⨠When the vibe is pure, you learn, grow, and thrive. â¨
Welcome back, Tribe! Todayâs episode takes us out of the studio and into the fieldsâliterally through the OTWV Experience. Weâre at Harvest Tyme, surrounded by the scent of pumpkins, crisp air, and the beauty of harvest season.
This moment isnât just about pumpkins or fall photos, itâs about reflection. It became a reflection on what it means to harvest, not just food, but lessons, love, and legacy. Harvest reminds us to gather whatâs grown, to honor whatâs come before us, and to plant with intention for whatâs next. For Black and brown folks, being in these fields carries layersâa history of labor, legacy, and now, reclamation. Weâre redefining what it means to harvest joy, to root ourselves in gratitude, and to honor our heritage in the soil that once held our ancestorsâ sweat and dreams.
So, after we explore the patch, letâs talk about what it means to reap what weâve sownâemotionally, spiritually, and communally. Letâs give thanks for the fruits of our growth and remember: the Tribe is always growing, together.Â
Content trigger warning: This episode contains discussions and themes of adverse experiences, abuse, neglect, or childhood trauma, which may be difficult to digest. Please listen at your own discretion.Â
Episode SummaryÂ
In this special episode of Oasis: Tribe with the Vibes, take a look at the first OTWV Experience where we take the Tribe on the road for a soulful day at the pumpkin patchâjoined by special guests for candid conversations in the car, heartfelt reflections in the fields, and a spotlight on Black-owned businesses.
For our ancestors, the fields once held both pain and purpose. From the plantations that built this nation to the small farms owned by Black families after Emancipation, our connection to the land has always been complex. The soil carries the weight of trauma but also the power of triumph.
Today, weâre reclaiming that connectionânot as laborers, but as healers, stewards, and storytellers. Together, we harvest joy, plant gratitude, and cultivate new traditions rooted in honor, heritage, and healing.
Because this time, weâre not surviving the harvestâweâre celebrating it. đžâ¨
