Hey everyone, it's Trent here and today we're going to be talking about whether tech sales bootcamps are worth it in 2023.  

Now, if you're not familiar with tech sales bootcamps, they are training programs that are designed to teach you the skills you need to succeed in a career in tech sales. These programs can range in length from a few weeks to a few months.  But are they worth it? That's the question we're going to be answering today.  

On the last tech sales bootcamp video I made, someone commented, “I applied to a tech sales Bootcamp a few months ago. They asked for mandatory attendance on 5pm to 8pm classes and they take 10% of my salary for 3 years. Those 2 conditions made it a no-no for me.”  

First, let's talk about the pros of tech sales bootcamps. One major benefit is that they can provide you with a crash course in the skills you need to succeed in tech sales. This can be especially useful if you're transitioning from a different career or if you're just starting out in the tech industry.  Tech sales bootcamps can also be a great way to network with other professionals in the field. Many programs offer opportunities for students to connect with industry experts and potential employers, which can be incredibly valuable as you begin your career.  

Now, let's talk about the cons. One potential downside of tech sales bootcamps is the cost. These programs can be expensive, and there's no guarantee that you'll land a job after completing the program.  

Another potential issue is that tech sales is a competitive field, and having a tech sales bootcamp on your resume may not be enough to set you apart from other candidates. You'll still need to have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the technology you'll be selling.  So, is a tech sales bootcamp worth it in 2023? 

It really depends on your individual circumstances and goals. If you're committed to pursuing a career in tech sales and you're willing to put in the time and effort to learn the necessary skills, a tech sales bootcamp could be a great investment.
