We talk about a lot of losses in midlife — but we rarely talk about the quiet grief of saying goodbye to the girl we used to be. 

There’s a real ache that comes when you realize that sparkling, reckless version of yourself is gone. The one who still believed she had unlimited time. The one who hadn’t yet been told to shrink.

This grief is sacred. It deserves to be felt, not rushed past or spiritual-bypassed. Because honoring it is what makes space for the Empress we’re becoming.
