Ai is everywhere and quickly taking over.
ChatGPT’s great for quick facts or recipe hacks, but as a replacement for a therapist or life coach? 👀
This week, I did a little experiment. I talked back and forth with Chat about a (completely fabricated) emotional problem.
Chat validated me up and down the wazoo, yessed me to pieces, told me I was 100% valid, totally in the right
Sure. Chat is always available, free and (annoyingly) perky but Chat is programmed to validate, affirm and agree with you.
Chat is a total people pleaser-keeping you engaged. On the hook. Dependent.
Chat just tells you what you want to hear.
Chat will not challenge you.
Chat will not call you on your BS
Chat will not provide an alternate point of view.
Chat can't guide you through life because chat has no LIVED EXPERIENCE.
If you don't actually want to be challenged, if all you're seeking is affirmation, then Chat is for you.
See you in a year. Your life will be exactly the same.
BUT if you want to break old patterns, shift your internal narrative and actually move forward?
Please for the love of God, hire a human.
