One of the things I’ve been the most addicted to in the past was toxic emotions. These include the extreme highs and lows that disguise themselves as jealousy, rage, love/lust, hate, and excitement. Although they have different stories attached to them, these emotions all create a similar feeling in our nervous system and our body can actually get addicted to being in fight or flight mode. Getting angry can be similar to taking a hit as the endorphins flow and your nervous system lights up. Suddenly you might have chaos and drama all you to support this need. In this episode I share a little bit about my own experience with emotional addiction and how I can now cancel it out and choose the calmer path.
