Are you a sustainably conscious paddler or curious how you can become more sustainably aware? On this episode, Sandra and I discuss ways we can offset all the driving that paddling requires and we explore the most effective ways to make a difference even as one person.
---
Sandra has a wealth of knowledge about sustainability. She is a transportation planner for Asheville and has a degree in natural resources and environmental science. We shared our PFDs (personal first decents) on the Nolichucky around 2018 and have regularly met up since then despite living far away from each other. I'm so excited to have been able to record in person with her!
---
Becca Ploener is an Adventure Life Coach and Whitewater Kayak Instructor based out of Asheville, NC. Combining her knowledge from her background in psychology, experiential and inquiry based learning, wilderness medicine, women's health, and whitewater kayaking she helps people to take charge of their life again so they can have fun regularly and level up their outdoor sport. Her mission is to wake you up to your wild, brave, and downright uninhibited self. Check out her website, Wildwomanbecca.com and JOIN THE EMAIL LIST if you want to be in the know about all things Wild Woman! There is a monthly newsletter, email exclusive coaching deals, and information about the programs she's leading.
