Today's guest is Markus Müller, Lead Data Science Engineer at UP42 in Berlin. UP42 brings together data from satellites with powerful analytics in one easy-to-use platform and marketplace. By detecting changes, monitoring trends and identifying objects, they are making it easy to not only see our planet but to understand it too by enabling people to access, analyze and understand Earth data.

Markus has worked in a variety of roles in the geospatial industry as a software engineer, researcher, trainer and technical project manager. For the last seven years, his focus has been on machine learning and computer vision. He provides hands-on technical leadership of the Data Science team at UP42 working on pre-processing and analysis of geospatial data with a strong focus on deep learning.
