Twesigye Jackson Kaguri was born and raised in Uganda in the small village of Nyakagyezi.  At a very young age he demonstrated an unquenchable desire to learn, which led him to study at and graduate from Makerere University in Kampala. During this time he co-founded the human rights organization, Human Rights Concerns, to help victims of human rights violations in Uganda and to educate the public about their rights. In the 90s he became a visiting scholar at Columbia University where he studied Human Rights Advocacy. Over the years he has been involved extensively in international community efforts as a human rights advocate, fundraiser, and inspirational speaker.
 
In 2001, Kaguri founded The Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project in response to the devastating effects of AIDS in his hometown. The organization, which recently celebrated its tenth anniversary, provides free education to children who have lost one or both parents to HIV/AIDS. In addition to two schools, it also operates a library, desire farm and nutrition program, medical clinic, clean water system, and a support program for the grandmothers who care for up to 14 children at a time.
 
Since founding the project, Kaguri has also become an author. In "A School for My Village" he shares how he came to build the first school and the struggles he faced during the first few years. Last year, he resigned as Interim Senior Director of Development in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Michigan State University to focus full-time on The Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project. Kaguri has been named a Heifer International Hero, recognized in Time Magazine's 'Power of One' Series, and spoken to the UN about his work. In 2012, he was named a CNN Hero and recognized internationally for his innovative work in human rights. Kaguri travels the country to speak with students and supporters of the organization when not working.

Jonathan Wright is a candidate running for Democratic State Representative of District Four in Wayne County. His father is an accomplished and dedicated preacher. His father, also a physician, and younger brother were instrumental in organizing a mission in Haiti during the recent and ongoing crisis. 
Jon attended a parochial high school, where he learned the value of hard work. After graduating high school in 2003, he attended the University of Michigan, where he attained a Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduating from law school, he moved into the heart of Detroit. His home is in the Boston-Edison District.This was the area where much of Motown Records was started and where many  dreams became a reality.
 While studying law in Florida, he was introduced to a group called Kairos. Kairos is a non-profit ministry which places mentors with young men currently in juvenile detention centers. He served as a Youth Juvenile Center Minister, and had the privilege of mentoring two young men. His time with Kairos reaffirmed his desire to bring out the best in others. 

James E. Simmons is an associate in the Tallahassee office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where he practices in the areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice, and nursing home defense litigation.

Previously, Mr. Simmons was an assistant general counsel with the Department of Financial Services in Tallahassee, Florida, where he handled insurance related matters, including prosecuting cases regarding licensing, unauthorized public adjusting, and unfair business practices.

Mr. Simmons received his Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2010 and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2006.
During law school, he served as editor of the FAMU Law Review. He was also the President of the Student Bar Association, active in the law school community, and active in the greater Orlando community in various service projects. Additionally, he was also a certified legal intern with the Office of the State Attorney, Ninth Circuit in Orlando, Florida.

Mr. Simmons is licensed to practice law in Florida and is a member of The Florida Bar. He is also admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Dr. S. Bernard Clinkscale is a 2011 graduate of Xavier (Bonaire) University School of Medicine who plans on specializing in anesthesiology and pain management. Born and raised in Greenville, SC, he completed his undergraduate degree in psychology from Florida State University. Prior to entering medical school, Dr. Clinkscale was a teaching assistant for second and third grade students with special needs.  Dr. Clinkscale is a member Christian Faith Outreach Ministries and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is passionate about witnessing to those around him and being a positive role model for youth. He states that he received his drive and passion from his parents who always emphasized that nothing is impossible for God. Dr. Clinkscale currently works with podiatric surgeon Anthony Mathis in Greer, SC, and will graduate with an MBA from Davenport University with a concentration in Healthcare Administration in 2013.

Michael J. Williams is from Orlando, Florida and attended Florida A & M University. He received Bachelor’s Degrees in Jazz Studies and Philosophy & Religion magna cum laude. Michael is a Ladd Scholar at the Florida State University College of Law. He will receive his J.D. this spring. Michael is passionate about advocating for equality, education and arts programs for minorities. To that end, Michael serves as the president of the award-winning Delores Poindexter Auzenne Chapter of the Black Law Students Association, an organization committed to improving conditions for black law students and the black community. In addition to his studies and community work, Michael handles family law cases as a certified legal intern, volunteers as a teaching assistant for criminal justice courses at Florida A&M University, and serves as a consultant for a local jazz music venue. Michael is also an accomplished trumpeter who has toured nationally and internationally performing at some of the worlds premier music venues and festivals. Michael hopes to work in a small to medium sized general practice firm where he can practice law while continuing to cultivate his other passions. Ultimately, he hopes to open community centers in disadvantaged areas to provide outlets for disadvantaged youth and inspire the next generation to pursue the arts, and higher education.

Aaron E. Brown was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and earned his Bachelors degree in Legal Studies with a minor in Political Science in 2008 at the University of Central Florida. Immediately following college he attended law school at Florida A&M University College earning a J.D. in May of 2011.

While in law school, he was chosen to become a member of the Florida A&M University College of Laws, Law Review, as well as the Florida A&M University College Mock Trial team. Aaron also was selected by the entire student body to serve as the Student Bar Association President.  Additionally, while attending law school, Aaron had the distinct privilege of being the first student from Florida A&M University College of Law to receive an externship at the Florida Supreme Court, clerking for the Honorable Justice James E.C. Perry.

Aaron attributes his desire for excellence to his mother, who encouraged and promoted him throughout his youth.  Aaron faithfully attends Regency Church of God and enjoys skim boarding, surfing, playing basketball, and spending time with his family.  Throughout Aaron’s academic and professional career he has found time to stay active in the community through various outreach programs and offering free legal aid seminars to those in the surrounding Jacksonville area.  Aaron is passionate about his community and is dedicated to serving the people.

Living in cars, selling drugs, fighting, stealing clothes and being arrested on multiple occasions became his life. Yet, despite all these hardships, "Egypt” received his first degree while being on the "Dean's list", graduated with Phi Theta Kappa Honors, was the 147lbs Florida State boxing champion, is an award winning actor, President of the National AIDS Awareness Poets Inc, Creator of the AIDS Olympics, has two degrees and is the author of both top selling relationship books, “How Good Is Sex? and “Love Is Not An STD”

Egypt took his anger and channeled it into a passion to improve others: much like his sister Chastity helped him. In less than three years, "Egypt" has appeared on Apollo twice, BET’ 106 & Park, MTV, UPN, NBC, TED talk, National Public Radio, SEVENTEEN Magazine, HIV PLUS magazine, POZ magazine, New York Daily News, Madison's Who's Who of business executives and professionals in addition to a BET special, “Pos or Not?” all for his dynamic work educating people about HIV, Black history, sex, love and politics. 

From Johannesburg (South Africa), Amman Jordan, Doha, Qatar (Middle East) to several parts of the Caribbean, his talent is enjoyed worldwide. He adopted the name "Egypt" because he plans to influence the world as the great African empire has influenced the earth.

Derrick Ashong, aka DNA, is an established media personality and television host of "The Stream" on Al Jazeera English. Harvard educated and world trained, he is described by VanityFair.Com as "a spirit of promise and hope and harmony." DNA's band Soulfege is a critically-acclaimed, refreshingly origianl and exciting group of musicians who produce an eclectic blend of Hip-Hop, Reggae, Funk, World Beat, and West African Highlife music. The band's music is estimated to have reached 146 million listeners worldwide, and the band is poised to give away 1 million downloads of their new album AFropolitan this year. DNA is a true renaissance man, having lived in such locations as Brooklyn, New York, Vorhees, New Jersey, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and currently resides in Washington D.C. DNA even had a small role in Steven Spielberg's film, "Amistad".  Ashong has appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and "The Mo'nique Show", and has lectured extensively throughout the world on the use of social media as a tool for human development. DNA has also talked in in front of world dignitaries including Bill Clinton at the Club de Madrid, before the UK Parliament on the subject of "The Obama Generation". He is the founder of Take Back the Mic, a youth-centered cultural movement that leverages the power of artistry and technology to empower young people and is also on the Board of Advisors for Children Mending Hearts.

This week we are pleased to sit down with Armond Mosley, author of Rededication: A Story of Sex, Repentance, and Restoration. The book is an introspective look that chronicles Mosley's journey to find Christ, and ultimately his wife. The forward of the book is written by Pastor Louis G. Whiting of My Father's House in Alexandria, VA. Interesting enough is that Pastor Whiting is able to connect personally with Mosley's story by remembering his own sexual indiscretions prior to God's restorative process in his life. The book weaves in stories about the sexual culture at various college campuses, and takes an introspective look into the the stories of countless young men across the country. The book is a must read for any young man or woman seeking to strengthen their walk with Christ beacuse it depicts real stories that emanate with young people living in any highly pressured community. Mosely is a graduate of Howard University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He also holds a MBA degree from Temple University. Mosley is currently the Strategic Sourcing Lead at a leading consulting company. In college, Mosley served as a campus leader through his fraternity, and seemingly had the fullfilment that many young people look for on a college campus. After college, Mosley quickly transitioned into a "successful" young professional because he was able to navigate the maze of corporate America. However, the empty feeling still lingered with Mosley leading him to seek Christ and allowing him to write Rededication. Join us again this Wednesday Feburary 1, 2012 as we chat with Armond Mosley.

Kyle is a native of Springfield, Ohio and a transplanted resident of Washington, D.C. Having attended Howard University, Kyle spent a few years after graduating from Howard impacting his hometown of Springfield by working directly with at-risk youths in various mentoring programs. Kyle served as the intervention specialist and community outreach coordinator for Vision for Youth in Springfield as well as an academic interventionist with Springfield City Schools prior to his current position. He is currently the Mentor Program Coordinator for the U.S. Dream Academy in Washington, D.C. and also serves as an Assistant Instructor at The Bullis School. In addition to Kyle's volunteering initiatives, his business acumen includes successfully building a nationwide business to business marketing group with a group of his peers while still only a student at Howard University.
