വി. ലൂക്കോസ് 10: 38-42 "38.അവര്‍ വഴിയേ യാത്ര ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ ഒരു ഗ്രാമത്തില്‍ പ്രവേശിച്ചു. മാര്‍ത്ത എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു സ്ത്രീ അവളുടെ ഭവനത്തില്‍ തന്നെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു. 39. അവള്‍ക്ക് മറിയാം എന്നുപേരുള്ള ഒരു സഹോദരിയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവള്‍ വന്ന് നമ്മുടെ കര്‍ത്താവിന്‍റെ പാദാന്തികം ഇരുന്ന് തന്‍റെ വചനങ്ങള്‍ കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. 40. മാര്‍ത്തയാകട്ടെ പലവിധ ശുശ്രൂഷയില്‍ വ്യാപൃതയായിരുന്നു. അവള്‍ വന്ന് തന്നോട്, എന്‍റെ കര്‍ത്താവേ, എന്‍റെ സഹോദരി എന്നെ തനിച്ച് ശുശ്രൂഷയ്ക്കായി വിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതില്‍ അങ്ങേയ്ക്ക് കരുതലില്ലയോ? അവള്‍ എന്നെ സഹായിക്കാന്‍ പറയണമെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. 41. യേശു ഉത്തരമായി അവളോട് മാര്‍ത്തയേ, മാര്‍ത്തയേ, നീ അനേക കാര്യങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് കരുതുകയും ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ആവശ്യമായുള്ളത് ഒന്നുമാത്രം. 42. മറിയാം ആ നല്ല ഓഹരി അവള്‍ക്കായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു, അത് അവളില്‍നിന്ന് എടുക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു."

വി. യോഹന്നാൻ 19: 25-27 25. യേശുവിന്‍റെ ക്രൂശിന്‍റെ അടുക്കല്‍ തന്‍റെ അമ്മയും, അമ്മയുടെ സഹോദരിയും, ക്ലേയോപ്പായുടെ മറിയാമും, മറിയം മാഗ്ദലൈത്തായും നിന്നിരുന്നു. 26. യേശു, തന്‍റെ അമ്മയേയും, അവിടെ നിന്നിരുന്ന താന്‍ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന ശിഷ്യനേയും കണ്ടു. താന്‍ തന്‍റെ അമ്മയോട്, സ്ത്രീയേ, ഇതാ അങ്ങയുടെ മകന്‍ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. 27. ആ ശിഷ്യനോട് ഇതാ നിന്‍റെ അമ്മ എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു. ആ നാഴിക മുതല്‍തന്നെ ആ ശിഷ്യന്‍ അവന്‍റെ അടുക്കല്‍ അവളെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു.

Luke 10: 38-42 38 Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” 41 And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

John 19: 25-27  25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” 27 Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.
