Pastor Joe Starr spoke this morning about life's disappointments and false expectations

in life and some examples from God's Word and King David from Psalm 3 on how chrstians

should properly deal with them.

Psalm 3:1

"Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. "

Pastor Joe Starr continued the series on 1 Kings 1:38-53

Ep. 3 "Another Response to Transition"

He spoke about Adonijah's incorrect response to King David's choice of Solomon as his successor to the throne.

1 Kings 1:49-50

49 And all the guests that were with Adonijah were afraid, and rose up, and went every man his way.

50 And Adonijah feared because of Solomon, and arose, and went, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

This morning Pastor Joe shared a message out of 2 Corinthians 4. He challenged us to live our life purely in preparation to meet our Maker in Heaven.

2 Corinthians 4:16

"For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day."

Pastor Joe Starr continued the series on 1 Kings. 

Ep. 2 "Nathan the Loyalist"

He spoke about Nathan's loyalty to David and how we must stay loyal to our Savior and to His Word.

1 Kings 1:11

"Wherefore Nathan spake unto Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith doth reign, and David our lord knoweth it not?"

This morning Pastor Franseen continued in 1 Corinthians. He spoke on not being ignorant about our spiritual gifts.

1 Corinthians 12:1

"Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant."

Pastor Joe Starr started off a series on 1 Kings. 

Ep. 1 "Different Responses to Transition"

 He spoke about Adonijah's response to a certain transition and how pride destroys the work of God.

1 Kings 1:5

"Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him."

This morning Pastor Franseen shared a message out of Nehemiah 8. He gave us proper responses to times of refreshment.

Nehemiah 8:6

"And Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the Lord with their faces to the ground."

This evening Brother Adrian Burden again shared a powerful message with us. Tonight he talked about the sin of pride and how destructive it can be.

Luke 15:25,28

25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

This Tuesday evening we were blessed with another great revival service message for Brother Burden. Tonight he spoke about one of God's attributes, jealousy.

Exodus 34:14

"For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God."

This Monday evening Brother Burden shared a very powerful message on submitting to our authority and government.

1 Peter 2:13-15

13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
