Eagles and Hawks and Also People As Well- Interesting Life Story of an Aspiring Baseball Star
Eagles and Hawks and Also People as Well revolves around the main character Enzo Prinziatta and his aspirations as a baseball player. Enzo has to face many challenges in his life that includes trying to catch the eyes of prominent people in the baseball community and to accept the fact that his pregnant girlfriend might not be carrying his child. What makes the book remarkable is little touches to Enzo's personality that makes him highly believable and likeable. For example, Enzo has the habit of writing on his thumb anything that he wants to reinforce. Hence, during important conversations he is seen writing some random words just as if he is echoing them. The most memorable glimpses of his memories revolve around his father. Whenever he thinks of anything most of the times his thoughts wander back to some time he had spent with his father like when his father got bit by a bug and had to be hospitalized or when his father dressed up all the mannequins in his basement in army uniforms and informed him that they will take care of him even in his sleep. Hence, a revelation about his father is bound to disturb him.
The author Frank Marcopolos did a great job of keeping the readers interested and engrossed. His writing style is so effective that it seems that he is narrating a scene before him. like the time when Enzo went shopping and had a conversation with his friend. Here the topic of the religious book was interestingly mixed with the job at hand- that is buying stuff from a prepared list for the upcoming party. Still the reader was not at all confused with the mixing of the words, but rather enjoyed them.
