Ear Buds

We Were Meant To LISTEN to this album! At least Joey and Landon are, as Landon brings Switchfoot's "The Beautiful Letdown" to Joey this week. They discuss their history with the band and their worldview, the impact and greatness of Jon Foreman as a songwriter and lyricist, and the importance of different points of view in art. They also spend some time comparing the original album with the 2023 re-release "The Beautiful Letdown (Our Version)."

Joey and Landon go the opposite of Supersonic, as they methodically dissect the album "The Process of Belief" track-by-track! Joey brings Landon one of his favorite Bad Religion records and they get into the band's history and philosophy, the distinct sound of Bad Religion, and the verbose import of their lyrics.

I Wanna Stay Home and listen to my favorite podcasters talk about an album they love! This week, Landon brings the 1990 album "Bellybutton" by Jellyfish, a band you may not know but absolutely should! They discuss the band's aesthetic and how important that may be to picking up a record in the first place, the technical artistry of the band, and of course go through the album track-by-track to discuss the lyrical and musical precision of this great band!

What a time to be alive! Joey and Landon go track-by-track through the 2023 album "So Much (for) Stardust" by Fall Out Boy! They discuss their varied and divisive history with the band's output and then dive deep into each track, discussing the sometimes incredible and sometimes frustrating collision of lyrics and music - a special alchemy that only Fall Out Boy can do, for better and worse.

Welcome to EAR BUDS! Whether you love discovering new music or discussing your favorite bands and albums, this is the show for you! Hosts Joey Loboda and Landon Sheetz are best friends and (more importantly) very funny comedians with an extensive love for music. THE CATCH?! Each of their tastes are quite different sometimes! A-HA!

Each week the guys trade turns bringing in an album that they love for the other to listen to. They'll both discuss the band, then go track-by-track through the album while reviewing what they hear. The other host's choice for next week is always chosen at the end of the episode, so you can go on the journey with us!

Through music, Landon and Joey get to touch on tons of topics while getting to know each other even better, and we want to hear from you too!. Join in on our discussions and reviews on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Let's have some fun!
