Earl’s World

The man behind the sounds of the ALW POD, Mikey Johnson as re-emerged!!!

Psychonautics (from the Ancient Greek ψυχή psychē 'soul, spirit, mind' and ναύτης naútēs 'sailor, navigator') refers both to a methodology for describing and explaining the subjective effects of altered states of consciousness, including those induced by meditation or mind-altering substances, and to a research cabal in which the researcher voluntarily immerses themselves into an altered mental state in order to explore the accompanying experiences.

A warm welcome back for Jessica Spence! In this lifetime she has dedicated herself to the pursuit of knowledge, physical fitness training and instructing yoga to say the least. We revel in the difficult conversations such as body shaming/health acknowledgement, racial/ideological divides, raising consciousness and we still make time for how we enjoy preparing our steak meals :) Join us on our journey.

Beautiful beautiful art. Art evokes. It tugs at our heart, pokes and prods our mind and leaves us changed. Sometimes it changes us in ways we’re not aware. We thank Kendrick Lamar for releasing his latest album “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers” and allowing that content to serve as the bedrock for this conversation. This discussion transcends music and celebrity, similarly to how the album elevates the listener to a place far outside of simple musical appreciation. I hope you all enjoy as much as we did. Love you all dearly.

P.s. I said I would give a link to this awesome tiny desk performance by Benjamin Clementine so here we are..

Welcome Rachel Snead, massage therapist and chiropractic assistant, to the ALW Pod!!! When was the last time you walked into a room with a stranger and had an awesome conversation?! Subluxation is a slight misalignment of the vertebrae, regarded in chiropractic theory as the cause of many health problems. In this episode we share laughs, experiences, helpful information and tell stories all in good faith of regaining alignment.

Question: What is the world coming to?In This episode we travel to Philly, the city of cheesesteaks made with CHEEZEWHIZ. We travel to the spa, where things are SUPPOSED to be cool but ALWAYS get weird. We discuss the Supreme Court and discuss how people REALLY feel about abortion laws. Wouldn’t be the Any Last Words Pod without a good customer service story or a bit of Earl’s weirdness. Enjoy!!!
