Earth-2.net Presents...

Everybody knows the Dolph Lundgren Punisher movie sucks, right? Well, apparently Mike missed that memo, because he's here to defend it! Make sure to visit the Earth-2.net store: http://store.earth-2.net

Ian and Dave once again delve into the world of Blake's 7. In "Children of Auron," Servalan releases a deadly plague on Cally's home planet, which lures the Liberator crew into a trap. In "Rumors of Death," Avon is out to avenge the death of the woman he loved, while Servalan's first official reception as President is rudely interrupted by rebels. They also discuss well-written minor characters, the unexpected responsibility forced upon one Auron space traffic controller, and Vila's drink problem. Plus, their resident clergyman suggests the best place to shoot a dictator, and will Ian gaze into the Fist of Toland?

After a heartfelt tribute to the late, great Ray Bradbury, the show begins. In a brand new Roadkill Review, Darryll and Desmond take in Prometheus and talk about it on the drive home. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. covers The Other for Stay Scary. And, finally, Desmond returns to go solo on reviews of hillbilly slasher Madison County and one of Stephen King's latest novels, 11/22/63. Tunes this week: "Something Wicked This Way Comes (Edit)" by Barry Adamson, "Of Prometheus and the Crucifix" by Trivium, "Evil Children" by King Missile, "Pig" by Steve Vai, and "Watch the Sky For Me" by Powerman 5000. James and Mike team-up once again to discuss Justice League: Doom, the very loose adaptation of Mark Waid's classic storyline, JLA: Tower of Babel! Make sure to visit the Earth-2.net store: http://store.earth-2.net

On the last stop before episode 50, Aaron and Damien tackle time traveling ninjas, and jump into a lot of spooky holes before finishing their playthrough of Silent Hill 2. This episode contains approximately 80% less Ellen Page than most other gaming related media this week.

It's time for Mike to go through the June Previews catalog. Make sure to visit the Earth-2.net store: http://store.earth-2.net

In a bizarre portrayal of both poles of the horror genre, Desmond and Darryll review the classic The Omen, and, in a new Stay Scary, Devil Dinosaur Jr. reviews The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu. It's a sober adult antichrist-themed horror film versus a pseudo-Lovecraftian horror-comedy. Strap in because it's all for you! Tunes this week are bookended by the now defunct Ween starting with "The Golden Eel" and "Buenas Tardes Amigo." "The Omen (Ave Satani)" by Fantomas, and "The Thing That Should Not Be" by Metallica. After bantering on vinyl acquisitions and plans for the future of the show, Desmond and Damien dive into what is the most divisive record in Faith No More's discography thus far: King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime. And though much of this episode is actually dedicated to the coverage of the album at hand, there's still room for Shaquille O'Neal, crazy uncles, and tasty shoes. A new verb is created! The show is a little light on tangents, but the puns are played fast and loose. This week's questions: Mike Patton is a great singer and frontman, but how good of a driver is he? And what would Jim Martin think of their most metal guitar-driven album, now that their metal guitar-driven guitar player is no longer in the band? Where does a certain celebrity deserve to get stabbed? All of these and more on this episode of Dropped D! Send your questions and comments to: [email protected], or 410.871.8192. In this episode, Mike reviews The Flash #1-8, so it's pretty obvious what he's going to say about Barry Allen, right? Think again! Before that, however, Tom Deja phones in with some feedback. Make sure to visit the Earth-2.net store: http://store.earth-2.net

In this fun-sized Point Five Episode, Derrick and Tom look at some of the stories that emerged from The Upfronts for the coming 2012 season. Join The Guys Outta Brooklyn as they discuss the renewal of Community in light of its show runner's firing, the persistence of period set dramas, broadcast networks trying to be cable channels by having Krysten Ritter parade around naked, and CBS's caginess around their announcement of Elementary! Sure, some of it is an excuse to use a photo of Lucy Liu in her underwear and Krysten Ritter giving the fish face as the podcast art, but give us a break and get to clicking!
