Earth-2.net Presents...

Hey, have you heard of this book called Atlas Shrugged?

Episode 25 of Big Damn Heroes is here, and, oh baby, we're at the season climax! On Angel, old faces appear in unexpected places, and the overarching plot for the rest of the series is set in motion. Over on Buffy, timelines are really screwed up, Spike and Giles own the show, tensions explode, and a character goes God tier. Do they make sense? No, not really. Also, the season ends. But wait, there's another episode of Buffy left? Oh, and that other thing Whedon did recently is briefly discussed. Join Hannah and Will for some shawarma as they discuss Buffy's "The Yoko Factor" and "Primeval," and Angel's "To Shanshu in LA."

In the May edition of Hey, Gurlfriend, Will and Hannah compare the book and movie of The Hunger Games! Does the movie hold up to the book? Listen to find out! And may the odds be ever in your favor! Make sure to visit the Earth-2.net store: http://store.earth-2.net

This episode features a wildly varied double feature of reviews featuring Desmond and Darryll. First up is the first blockbuster of the summer: The Avengers. Then the classy nunsploitation flick Killer Nun goes under the microscope. The songs featured this week are "Live to Rise" by Soundgarden, "Under the Robe" by Amen, and the show is bookended by two Beastie Boys songs: "Gratitude" and "Egg Man." RIP Adam "MCA" Yauch and Michael Louis Calvillo. Send feedback to: [email protected], or 206.203.1213. Follow @dreadmedia on Twitter!

Desmond and Damien know that feeling, it is The Real Thing. Faith No More's first band featuring alternative music legend Mike Patton on vocals. And boy are they happy about it?! Yes, they are. First up, they have news featuring previous bands covered on the podcast, and then they talk about the album cover without really saying anything for a ridiculous amount of time. But after the first 25 minutes, it's all Patton-era Faith No More goodness. The creepiness and the poppiness and the metalness are all talked about. But so are the New Kids on the Block. Twice! Of course: more band name updates, weird sex acts, and odd celebrity references. What would a show be without it? Damien makes faces, but only people who pay for the premium videocast version of the show get to see them. Also, where do the bad raisins go when they die? Listen to find out! The first wave of cancellations have struck the DCnU! Amongst them: Hawk & Dove by Sterling Gates and Rob Liefeld. Mike was once high on the series, but did that trend continue to the very of this eight-issue run? Make sure to visit the Earth-2.net store: http://store.earth-2.net

Just as his latest collaboration with Johnny Depp, Dark Shadows, reaches the theaters (and that might be part of the problem), The Boys Outta Brooklyn reconvene Director's Court to pass judgement on Tim Burton. Tom and Derrick cover the man's entire career, and try to figure out if he is still blazing new trails or relying on the same old tropes. Plus, Derrick knows the value of Johnny Depp to moviegoers, why the Gene Wilder version of Willy Wonka may be a demented serial killer, and, for the first time ever, our subject may get his revenge. You know Spectre is really swell, so get to clicking!

Kellen is back from his vacation, and he has some stories to tell. How does a giant comic convention like C2E2 fare if you are primarily an anime fan? How many ways can airlines and hotels almost screw over your vacation? And what kind of zaniness did Kellen get into with the Earth-2.net crew? The answers to all are within, as well as some short reviews of Carl Macek's Robotech Universe and Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker.

Earth-2.net: The Show will be delayed for a few days, and Mike explains why.
