Earth-2.net Presents...

On Christmas Eve, three homeless people discover an abandoned baby, and a quirky adventure to find her parents begins in Satoshi Kon's 2003 movie Tokyo Godfathers. Kellen and James take a look at this flick, and one thing is abundently clear: this is the most sense Satoshi Kon has ever made.

It's much delayed, but give Desmond a break! He just found this review of True Blood season four he did with the lovely Megan on his hard drive! Better late than never, right? Interesting dynamic here: Megan is an avowed fan of True Blood since season one, and this is the first season Desmond's watched. What did the two think? Things to take away from this review: the girl who plays Jessica is incredibly hot. Really hot. Super hot. Oh, and also some of the guys might be good looking. Or something. Dave and Ian experience the agony and the ecstasy of Blake's 7 as they close out the year with another two episodes. In "Gambit," Blake looks for a man who might know where Star One is, Avon and Vila use Orac to break the bank at a casino, and Servalan deals with the flamboyant mobster Krantor. In "The Keeper," Blake searches for a man who definitely knows where Star One is, everyone tells Jenna she's beautiful, and Cosplay Travis kicks a jester. Plus, how midgets can improve extreme gambling, some old friends appear in a truly epic Who count, and Ian makes a seasonal appeal for feedback via the medium of song.

Using an ill-gotten time machine, the Cybermen plan to destroy Earth in 1985, thus saving Mondas one year before their very first encounter with The Doctor ("Attack of the Cybermen"). Then, a dying TARDIS needs a rare ore to survive, but to acquire it The Doctor and Peri must withstand the endless traps of a mindlessly violent television show ("Vengeance on Varos").

It's Grant Morrison versus Jeff Lemire, pulp hero versus pulp hero, and Havok versus Havok as Dan and Mike compare Animal Man (1988) #3 to Animal Man (2011) #1, Doc Savage (1988) #1 to John Carter: A Princess of Mars #1, and Havok & Wolverine: Meltdown #1 to X-Men Legacy #255! The best video game podcast hosted by two trained pro grapplers that airs on Thursdays is back with more Batmany goodness. Today they continue their Arkham City playthrough, and invent words like "Batmany." Also, Hanson.

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond and Darryll come to terms with Lucio Fulci's The House by the Cemetery. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. stops by to do two short comic reviews of Hellboy: House of the Living Dead and Creepy Presents: Bernie Wrightson. Then, songs are played: "House by the Cemetery" by Wednesday 13, "Bob" by NOFX, "Creepy Crawly" by Michale Graves, and "It's Time to Party" by Andrew WK. This episode begins with puns so bad, it almost ends the show. Almost. Why would they end the show when there's so much to talk about in one of the weirdest releases a band has ever put out? This time, Desmond and Damian put on fingerless gloves, and, Guns N' Roses' second official release, G N' R Lies gets its due. In the course of their discussion, there is much said about Aerosmith, Del James, and poor Steven Adler. There's even an impromptu freestyle rap that really sucks! Send feedback and please make the rapping stop: [email protected], or 410.871.8192. Follow @dreadmedia and @ExtraLivesShow on Twitter!
