Earth-2.net Presents...

In this episode of Dread Media, we celebrate Anime Week at Earth-2.net to coincide with the 50th episode of Animezing Podcast. Host Kellen Scrivens joins Desmond to talk about the first seven episodes of Hell Girl. Then Desmond goes solo on Dante's Inferno: An Animated Epic. Hellish tunes include: "From Hell They Came" by The Misfits, "All Hell Breaks Loose" by Sick of it All, "The Lost Souls" by AFI, and "Bloodshot" by HelltracK. The Doctor and Jo find themselves helping a young King as he's torn between sticking with traditions and moving his people forward ("The Curse of Peladon"). Then The Master awakens the aquatic cousins of the Silurians in another attempt to destroy mankind ("The Sea Devils").

James, Ian, and Mike have waded through piles of garbage to reach this point: the end of the rainbow. Oh yes, it's finally time for the guys to discuss Batman Begins!

In this episode, while covering the kung fu classic Enter the Dragon, Megan states the obvious ("This is a real man movie") and Desmond agrees. While the plot isn't too dense, Megan still wasn't paying attention. Newsflash! Desmond loves this movie. Megan's a little indifferent. She does say something about a window imported from Sweden in her attempts to understand why her husband wants to be Bruce Lee. And Megan says something that terrifies her husband. There's some serious domestic scrapping going on here folks! Plus, Megan gives out points to listeners who give feedback! Super-spies and their allies (Black Widow #1), resurrected heroes and their foes (Brightest Day #0), space pirates and their guns (Cold Space #1), speedsters and their rogues (The Flash #1), and gods and wars (The Savage Axe of Ares) are all covered in this edition of 1st Issue Special.

In this massive vampire-themed episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick is proud to present an interview with stand-up comedy and acting legend Kevin Pollak about his directorial debut, Vamped Out. Then Tom Deja from Better in the Dark joins us for a discussion about Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter. And Darryll joins us for a discussion about the softcore lesbian vampire epic Vampyres. Then Desmond goes solo on a review of FVZA #3 from Radical Comics before Megan joins him for a review of the novel Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Tunes include: "Dad and Halloween" by Kevin Pollak, "Suburban Vampire" by The Browns, "Looking for Blood" by The Donnas, "Vampira" by Devin Townsend Band, "Drain the Blood" by The Distillers, "The Hunter" by Danzig, and "Let the Blood Run Red" by Thor. The Guys Outta Brooklyn started out to discuss Films That Were No Longer on DVD, but after talking about some actual movies in limbo like the earlier Harry Palmer films, Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins, and Cast a Deadly Spell, well, they started locating some of the suggested films lost to time! Thus, join The Guys Outta Brooklyn as they locate some truly cool films their fan base thought unavailable commercially, like The Billy Jack trilogy, and the work of Val Lewton! And if that's not enough, Tom and Derrick somehow end up sitting in front of Wonderbox looking at pictures of The Crazy Babysitter Twins! It's called fast food for a reason, so get to clicking!

Before Ian returns to dissect Kick-Ass and The Rocketeer, Dan and Mike take hard looks at The Flash: Rebirth and Mouse Guard: Fall 1152.
