On Tuesday we witnessed a beautiful candle lighting ceremony to recognise and honour the role of Nurses on their special day, International Nurses Day. Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize together with all 9 provincial MECs held a virtual ceremony with nurses from all provinces where they were thanked for the role they play in the fight against COVID-19 and also encouraged to soldier on to save the lives of South Africans against the deadly virus. KwaZulu Natal’ daily record of new cases is now more than 20.

Le Clos confirmed that he and his swimming team Energy Standard have decided to take a voluntary 65 percent salary cut. Le Clos said: "At the moment, it's a difficult time for everyone financially but for me I'm okay... I'm not motivated by money, it doesn't drive me. If you said to me I'll give you R100 million and you can't swim at the Olympics next year, I'd say no."
