The priests in Israel were supposed to be dressed differently from the people, and the high priest would dress differently even among the other priests. One of his garments was an ephod. Up until Sinai, the heads of the families of the children of Israel could make sacrifices to God upon an altar. However, once the Law of Moses (Old Law) was given, that changed. The golden lampstand was to be placed in the holy place in the tabernacle. There were specific instructions of how it was to be made, and exactly where it was to be placed. We often think of the tabernacle as the merely building where the Holy of Holies was. In actuality, the tabernacle was surrounded by a court. Like the tabernacle, God gave specific instructions for how the court of the tabernacle was to be made. What were those instructions?
