No one had greater unfair treatment than our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He endured illegal trials and was sentenced to death even after Pilate proclaimed, “I find no basis for a charge against this Man." Yes, it was unfair but it was God the Father’s plan for Him. “He was despised and rejected of men … we esteemed Him not. He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities and the chastisement of our peace was upon Him” (Is 53:3-10). Jesus Christ purchased our redemption out of the slave market of sin. His substitutionary death on the cross frees us from the penalty of sin. “He that knew no sin was made sin for us so that we may be made the righteousness of God through Him” (2 Cor 5:21).
