Easter is the time we commemorate the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, and the reality of His resurrection. In the days leading up to it, we remember His passion (or suffering). On Good Friday, Jesus was crucified, died, and was buried. But because He is risen on Easter Sunday, it means that His punishment for our sins was accepted by God our Father. The price for our redemption is paid in full. Our sins can now be forgiven and we can have a brand new life as children of God.
