Kicking off the study of Acts, we get a brief glimpse of Jesus' final days on earth. Although he was going to leave, Jesus was confident that the future of the Church was in good hands, because the Spirit was about to take center stage. Josh teaches on the three key markers of the Early Church that Jesus was commissioning out in Acts 1:1-11 : an irresistible community for the sake of others, dangerous witnesses through word and action, and Spirit filled followers of Jesus. As Apprentices of Jesus, we are called to abide in the True Vine, and through deep relationship with Him, the Spirit will lead us into being the Future Church that our world desperately needs.
