  • Tarot suit of Wands: 6-10 plus professional advice on reading cards
So . . . lots of stuff today. Mandy and I sat down and talked for a few minutes about her evolution as a tarot reader (real life proof over the past several months—and how you can do this too). Then we got into the suit of Wands (cards 6 through 10) but we looked at what these cards COULD mean in a philosophical sense. There is no one book of card meanings, and if there were it would have to be thousands of pages thick, as there is simply no way to assign fixed set meanings you can memorize and apply to all of life (78 cards divided by millions of possibilities equals no possible way of creating a bunch of card meanings you could rely on). So we did something much better: show you how to feel the cards and know what each one is saying to you in the reading you are doing right now. The long version of how to do this is in the course at www.easytarotlessons.com. We also revealed some of the methods of the top tarot professional readers in the world, and how you can easily do these same things at home (or work or at . . .) and build your skills to a degree that far surpasses the average reader you will meet. So . . . how to build a large client base (explained by someone who is doing it RIGHT NOW) and some tips on how to read like a pro (what you should be doing right now) and finally how to develop a relationship with the suit of wands cards in your tarot deck. If you have any questions please post a comment and I will help you as quickly as I can. Thanks for being here :-)

  • Tarot suit of Wands: Ace, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Wands
What do the Wands cards mean in the tarot? Listen to this episode to learn how to know what your tarot cards mean in any spread you cast, in every tarot reading you give. Mandy and I are doing a new series of tarot card interpretations without formula, memorization, or bad storytelling. Originally we were going to try to get through the entire suit of Wands but it turns out that we can only get though five cards at a time while also showing you real professional techniques of card interpretation. So it looks like this series will go on for a while. In this episode we looked at the Ace, two, three, four, and five of Wands in ways that you won't find in any tarot book. Yes, we show you the card meanings, but we don't trap you into seeing card interpretations a s set in stone. Along the way we talked just a little about history as well, just to put everything into context. Your tarot cards are easy to understand if you spend some quality time absorbing what is going on inside each image on each card, and then applying these activities and attitudes to real-world events and attitudes. This is easy and makes your readings far more accurate, fun, and highly detailed. If you have any questions at all please post a comment and we will make sure that we answer your question. Thanks for being here.

  • Mandy's first corporate tarot event! (using tarot for more than just readings)
Yesterday Mandy was paid to use her tarot skills in a "team building event" by a wellness center in her area. The full details are included in the audio lesson but the gist of it is that Mandy was hire to use the tarot to entertain and motivate employees to work together more efficiently. Mandy describes how she was originally going to take the (traditional) easy route and just give everyone there readings, but as she did her research she had an epiphany to make the whole experience interactive. Using her cards as a catalyst for interaction she taught the employees of her client the very basics of the tarot and shepherded them through some easy exercises and games. When she went off to give each participant a hands-on reading she left the others with cards and something to do. The idea was not to teach the employees of the wellness center "how to read tarot cards," but instead to help them realize how much more is inside them and how to tap into their innate intuitive abilities to better work together and be able to assist their clients more thoroughly. The event was a HUGE hit and everyone went home happy (and Mandy had her first corporate gig under her belt). This lesson is an examination of what she did there and how she got the gig in the first place. You can follow along and see the exact steps that led directly to her being offered the job. This is where you want to be in your career's evolution. At some point you need to explore the horizons far beyond the shelter of the psychic hotlines or reading only for friends and family—or at psychic fairs. There is BIG MONEY to be made using your cards for corporate and charity events and the attendees there are usually mid- to high-networth individuals who can (and often do) become your private clients. This is a short lesson but one filled with real-world, real-life examples that is valuable both now ("the day after") and well into the future. In this lesson, if you pay close attention, you will find out EXACTLY how to do this for yourself; what steps to take in what order, and how to maximize your results. If you have any trouble doing this join our family and let us help you. Thanks for being here :-) Dusty White www.easytarotlessons.com

  • How to read tarot for the public (real-life lessons from the front)
Mandy's stall update! Last week we explored Mandy's giant step from reading on the psychic phone lines to opening up her own retail location. After doing due diligence and solid business research Mandy chose to set up shop one day a week (to start) at a busy marketplace. This lowered her start-up expenses and recurring overhead while putting her front and center in front thousands of real potential clients every week. It also let her keep her day job. Only you can decide which path is best for you. Some students love reading from home over Skype, by phone, or through a professional tarot reading service. For others swap meets, boardwalks, farmers markets or psychic fairs offer better results. Our goal here is to help you understand your options and in our course at easytarotlessons.com we teach you how to do all of this and more (just show up, learn, practice and ask questions). If you ever want to read tarot for the general public, you need to listen to this episode. Mandy shares her secrets for creating the right atmosphere for attracting clients while Dusty injects his real-world experiences with running a retail business. Reading the tarot is a fun job, but it is still a job. From doing the research for the best location to perfecting your presentation we go through many of the details you should know before opening up your retail shop. If you need to know more, sign up for the course at www.easytarotlessons.com. This public service is free information for the public to help raise the quality level of readings tarot clients get all over the world. After exploring the retail side of tarot we look at Mandy's questions on what to do when a card doesn't make sense in a tarot spread. I walk Mandy through the process of going through the various passes you go through in each reading (find out all of this and more in Advanced Tarot Secrets). As always, we are happy to answer your questions. We are here to help you make sense of the tarot, build your skills and confidence and if you like: go pro. Thanks for being here :-)

  • How to make REAL MONEY reading tarot cards (real-life proof and instruction)
If you EVER want to make money reading for clients (face to face) you need to listen to this (**free**) lesson on how to make it work for you. Mandy and I sat down and revealed what we have been working on for the past few months. Mandy is one of my hand-taught students and I personally supervise her instruction and progress (she is in the UK and I am in California). First we built her success and popularity on the psychic phone lines and then she felt the need to expand into in-person readings to build up a regular clientele. After researching options and finding what was best suited to her knowledge, current income (resources), desires, and work style she came up with the idea to read in public at a market. In this lesson we discuss everything she did to make this a reality and how amazingly well it has turned out (she was in the black at the end of her first day!). Nothing is hidden. Nothing is held back. We examined what she did and how she did it and WHY she did it, so that we can apply it to you and your circumstances. This will be required listening at the tarot academy (at www.easytarotlessons.com) so you really want to get this information while it is still free. This is real-life in real-time. There is no trickery or hyperbole here. YOU CAN DO THIS if you apply yourself. We are here to help you and if you have any questions just ask. Thanks for being here :-) Dusty

  • New fun tarot game ("Blind Date") makes learning card meanings easy
"Blind Date" is a new tarot game Mandy invented and it is easy, addictive, and makes study group time fun. I had a few reservations about this game until I tried it and it has instantly become one of the most popular new tarot games we have invented. It is based on the British TV show of the same name (if you are in America and remember "The Dating Game" it is like that but at the end they bring the contestants back and see how the date actually went). This game has you become the contestant, the mystery bachelor/bachelorettes and the announcer. You choose their personality based on the card(s) in your hand. Then you immerse yourself into the personality of those cards and act out the game as if you were actually on the game show. This game is seriously funny and educational in ways that strengthen your subconscious to conscious minds communication in real-life tarot readings for clients, your friends and family, and yourself. Tarot card meanings are not a mystery, they just haven't been taught properly. This is why so many people struggle with what a card means in a tarot reading. That all ends here. Today's goofy lesson is all about how to know what your cards mean when they come up in practice or an actual spread you are casting for a paying client. To actually understand what your cards are saying to you requires a familiarity with your tarot cards. Each card in your deck has an image on it and inside that image is a message: a visual representation of someone doing something. There is no mystery to it at all. The point of reading tarot cards is to help divine information otherwise inaccessible, and that means that you have to know your tool inside and out, just like a mechanic knows his tools, a surgeon knows her tools, or a psychologist knows the working of the brain. So, we all have to learn, practice, and study. But it doesn't have to be boring, which is why we have DOZENS of tarot games and exercises to help you get to know your cards intimately. Today's free lesson is extremely helpful in getting to know the tarot cards in your hand, so that when you are out in the real-world giving readings you can extract much more information than most readers you will ever meet. As always, ask me questions if you have any: [email protected]. I am here to help you. Thanks for being here :-)

  • How to rid yourself of bias when reading tarot cards
Mandy, Sharon and I were sitting around talking about our most unusual possessions, so we decided to share them with you! That brought us to talking about judging other people and of course about reading without judgement. We talked about when to say no and when to take on the responsibility of accepting a client without letting bias enter the equation. It is extremely important that when you read, you deliver the message you receive in the reading and not your own personal opinion. We have covered this in depth in the course at www.easytarotlessons.com and also in some free podcasts about the "yappy dog" in The Fool card. It is tempting to warp the information we receive from the divine (through divination) into words and beliefs that make sense to us, but that is not our job. Reading tarot without bias or filters is an essential skill for the student and for the professional, otherwise we give faulty information and earn a bad reputation. We can always couch the term we use, but that is like the exterior paint on a house: It is distinct and separate from the inside and may never cross the threshold. Consider that carefully and compare it to your abilities as a problem solver and counselor. Refuse to allow ingrained patterns to poison the information you are receiving or you will lose confidence and reputation that will be hard to ever win back. One way to lose a client forever is to give them a sermon on what they want to ask. We are here to help you avoid all of that. If you join our community we can share so much more with you. We are here to help you rise above mediocrity and we are working on this seven days a week, every week. You will be hard pressed to find anyone with more commitment to your growth and perfection at any cost (and this information is free). If you have any questions about how to leave bias behind, or when to know when you can't, come join us! We are here to help. Thanks for being here :-)

  • What are problem clients and how to handle them
This episode runs really long (almost 90 minutes). It was a casual discussion between one of my private students (Mandy) and myself about the real-world experiences we all face in reading tarot for other people. Occasionally we all get a difficult client. Most people you read for have a good time and you two end up enjoying a conversation with value exchanged on both sides, but every once in a while you will not make a connection with someone. You can't read for them (for various reasons), you can't connect with them, or worse: they are just bad clients. Fortunately this last one happens extremely rarely, but we wanted to discuss what these things are like and how to deal with them. It is better that you know up front what fate awaits you when you read for a lot of people (in person or online, or even over the phone). You are not alone—this happens to all of us—and "it's not you; it's them." This is not assigning blame. It is just a statement of fact that you won't connect with everyone you meet in life, and the same holds true in readings. Not the most upbeat of lessons but one that is worth listening to if you have a long drive or a lot of patience. Let me know if you have any questions or post a comment below. As always, thanks for being here. Get ALL of our free lessons (or join our community of highly skilled, professionally trained readers at www.easytarotlessons.com. You are NOT alone.

  • Punt the yappy dog! (how to silence doubt once and for all)
One of the biggest problems that new and experienced readers face is their conscious mind interfering with a reading. This is what happens when you're trying to read and your brain nags at you "No! That can't be right!" or "are you sure?" This voice can be loud in the middle of a reading (and it usually is strongest in the first 5–10 minutes of every reading) but where it is most dangerous is when you never directly hear it, but feel the foolish need to rely on keywords or memorized meanings. (Note: NEVER read tarot out of a book and computer apps are worse than useless—they make us believe that any computer has an intuition that knows what cards should come up for you "right now"). This audio lesson builds on the lesson of the Fool and the Yappy Dog that I teach in our course at www.easytarotlessons.com. Mandy, Sharon and I tackled this one head on so we could help you get rid of that nagging voice and get in touch with your intuition. I explain exactly what it is and how to overcome it. I even let out a secret excerpt from Aphrodite's Book of Secrets. We discuss steps you can take to push that little mutt right out of your mind while you are working with your cards. Please excuse some minor sound issues, but this podcast was just to good to scrap. It's full of advice you won't find anywhere else; and rest assured, no yappy dogs were harmed during the recording of this podcast. Thanks for being here :-)

  • How to be a REAL tarot detective and work with law enforcement
Intense audio lesson today: We examined what it takes to be a psychic detective and how important it is to have the right mindset when you are approaching detectives or law enforcement, what mindset to use to solve crimes and cases, and how they should view you (you need to teach them how to work with you). Quite a lot of detail here. Also: real-life examples of some HUGE predictions that played out exactly as we predicted and how we reached back in time to unearth information unrecoverable by other means. And a time or two that we wish we had recorded for posterity. WARNING: There is an incident we cover in this lesson that might be disturbing to delicate minds: We deal with real-life issues and you should to. Cotton Candy psychics waste everyone's time and money. In this lesson you will hear the true-life story that has recently happened to one of my students. She was trained properly and did her job, but it was about a missing person. She helped solve two capital crimes but was not consulted early enough to save a life. This is positive proof that we do our jobs better than Cotton Candy Tarot authors you may have read the books of. To protect the reader's privacy and respect the family the names, dates and locations have been withheld. But this is real, and my job is to take you to this skill level if you apply yourself properly and persistently. I can't and won't guarantee that you will reach this level of expertise, because you have to be trained properly, study intensely, and practice persistently. Please take no offense at this but there is just no way of knowing who will put the time and effort in until they show up. But it is nice to get word back from those who have done it and succeeded. It is people who sacrifice time, effort and energy to achieve greatness that inspire us all to try harder and do our best. I hope this lesson inspires you—but always remember, it is not how much money you spend on your education that makes you great—it is how you apply yourself. You can do this without spending any money (on me or anyone). Hopefully we (all of us who are here to help will make it easier for you to achieve true greatness. Thanks for being here. As always, ask questions. We are here to help :-)
