With all the clamoring voices declaring the latest health fads and superfoods, so many of which seem to be in contradiction to each other, how is one to know what to do? Do we follow the simple advice of Michael Pollan (Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.)? Or do we micro measure every morsel for optimum productivity and neurological function? Lots to discuss, and, as always, with an eye to making things simpler. Have a listen.

Highlights:

  • Nowadays you can walk into almost anywhere and see the teenagers have all the signs of being youthful, but there’s something off with their physique. (5:50)
  • There are a lot of experts today that claim to know what health is. But when I step back and look at it, it just seems to be that what we’re claiming health is, is really distorted. (9:25)
  • People define freedom as the ability to do whatever you want to do, but I’ve suggested the following definition; that freedom is the ability to not do what you don’t want to do. (21:29)
  • It doesn’t have so much to do with your genetics, but the way you learned to eat. So if you change the way you eat, you can actually change what the outcomes are. (32:55)
