Evan recaps the A.U.G. examination and investigation through the first 4 episodes while continuing to provide evidence and share experiences that support the need for true Institutional and Systemic changes. He utilizes this episode to begin the conversation transition to one of "Change Management" and the leadership principles, processes, techniques, standards and expectations in play, moving forward. It's his attempt to bring objectivity and discipline to an emotional subject - Change!
With the passing of Civil Rights icons, John Lewis and C.T. Vivian, in this episode, Evan pays homage and honor to their lives with the story of his own Civil Rights icon: The Story of Soul Man. It's a Black story, an American story, but most of all, a Human story.
In this episode, Evan discusses his American experience and personal / family brand. But the real discussion centers on the brand that is "America", and the narrative that has empowered and driven the brand for centuries. He introduces some 'P' words beyond Privilege, but it's not that Painful. And, he leaves you with an interesting conversation challenge for your family dinner table, on an all new EAT Leadership Today."
In this episode, Evan appeals to “our better angels” in his discussion of those basic Needs that connect us all – Health, Safety, and Education. They are the essence of a family’s spine and fundamental to successful outcomes for every child. When we focus on the children, we are best able to find commonalities, so developing a strategy built from the womb, may be a start. Those things we want and desire - financial security, economic empowerment, strong family relationships, service and legacy – are achieved when our basic needs are consistently met.
Evan’s “America Under Glass” series serves as an examination, investigation, and performance review of these, “United States of America”. And if you didn’t already guess it, it ain’t ALL GOOD. But as always, Evan will attempt to identify and address the root causes to this failing “American Experiment” and present potential solutions to creating a true “American Experience”. With a mix of discussion on American History, Health, Safety, Education, Business and Economics, Criminal Justice, Family and Community, the “America Under Glass” series seeks to find the shared core values that exist amongst today’s citizens and begin to fashion a plan for change. But change won’t come easy unless we’re each willing to speak and hear truth, be vulnerable, build trust and reach agreement on what a new America must look like.
In this 3rd part of Innovators and Entrepreneurs series, Evan brings back a leader you already know, but this time to talk about his experience as an entrepreneur. Cecil A Toulon, Jr. joins the show in this Season 2 episode to expand on his career journey and the life of the entrepreneur. You'll hear more on the impact and intersection of corporate America and the American entrepreneur. Cecil will also leave you with some critical lessons to learn and steps to take as you advance your own entrepreneurial endeavors, on an ALL New EAT Leadership Today.
In this episode, Evan takes listeners further on his journey as an entrepreneur - the passions that stoked the fire; the strategic thinking that moved the vision forward; and the tactical details required to bring a business to life. Evan uses the time to assess the development of his 2020 business strategy - now, almost 1 quarter through the new year - and share his ideas and plans for getting high performance results through the balance of this very challenging year, for the American people and American entrepreneurs. But, the upside - if there is one - is that now, more than ever, effective leadership is needed, and Evan continues to weigh in that space. Listen, on an All New Episode of EAT Leadership Today!
In this episode, Evan talks about his transition from corporate executive and leader to entrepreneur and small business owner; it definitely was not as smooth as transition as he hoped for, but like most things, there was an eventual happy transition because he is nowhere near the ending. Listen in as he introduces you to both the Innovator and Entrepreneur, inside of him...They are often two different people, but always with the same goal - growing the brand and building the business. All this, and more, on an All New EAT Leadership Today!"
In this episode, the last of the 5 part Sales Leaders Series, Evan continues to share his journey as a developing sales leader as well as his journey as husband and father - living holistically as a leader is critical to everyone involved in the journey. You will get a glimpse into field versus home office sales leadership, and learn the importance of influencing as a skill. And finally, Evan provides a summary of the Sales Leader 5 part series as he makes the transition to the 5 part Innovators and Entrepreneurs series, beginning next week, on EAT Leadership Today.
In this 4th part of the 5 part Sales Leader Series, Evan discusses the great opportunities and challenges presented when attempting to develop a team of 'Sales Monsters' and what it takes to build that team; you may be surprised that his emphasis is on build and team, and not sales. As he and the family make the move to the DMV - after a short 30 months in the capitol city of Raleigh, NC - and Evan assumes his first 'Big Chair' as Division Manager of the DC Division, he discusses the necessity in raising your individual leader game as the stakes, responsibilities, decisions, and consequences grow with the size of your chair. How powerful you can make your team, and how quickly you can do it, will determine your trajectory as the promotion funnel gets tighter. Listen in on this and more on an ALL New episode of EAT Leadership Today.
