Cas du Pree Prism: New Avant-Pop Single and Video

The independent electronic music scene is finding a brand new pulse. Netherlands-based artist Cas du Pree has officially returned with his latest high-energy release, “Prism”. Recently, he signed with EastLondon Recordings. As a result, the Dutch singer-songwriter is fully leaning into a dancefloor-focused transformation.
Consequently, we caught up via Zoom on Eat My Brunch here at Phoenix FM. During our chat, we talked all about the creative process behind the track. In addition, we discussed his striking new visual aesthetic. He explained how he turned deeply personal self-reflection into a glossy neon indie anthem.

The Story Behind the Prism Metaphor
He built the track alongside producer Arron Storey and lyricist Hugh Webber. Because of this cooperation, the music steps away from traditional acoustic layers. Instead, it embraces a heavy dancefloor energy. Furthermore, the single explores human duality. It uses the visual image of light passing through a glass prism to mirror the complexities of personality.
