For years, Kevin has been a staple in the Essex community. He runs a highly successful piano teaching practice, helping both children and adults find their musical voices. But behind the scenes, a larger creative universe has been quietly building. For instance, Kevin recently celebrated the worldwide release of his gripping new novel, The Line We Hold. At the same time, he has been dropping a steady stream of original, cinematic music under his creative umbrella project, CMD Collective.

I sat down with Dovile Slapikaite, the Community and Partnerships Lead for Essex, to talk about the vital work being done by the Help to Claim service. Delivered locally by Citizens Advice, this service acts as a crucial lifeline for people navigating the often-complex process of starting a new Universal Credit claim.
The Help to Claim service provides completely free, independent, and confidential support. Dovilė explained that their team is there to help people fully understand their options, check their exact financial entitlements, and support them through every step of completing the application.
While the service is open to anyone starting a new claim, it is particularly beneficial for individuals who face extra barriers to getting the support they need. This includes people who:
Are unable to make a claim independently
Have limited digital skills or internet access
Face language barriers
Are managing physical or mental health conditions
Are experiencing severe financial difficulties

Currently, she holds an undergraduate degree in fine art alongside her master’s in songwriting. Recently, he signed with EastLondon Recordings. As a result, the Dutch singer-songwriter is fully leaning into a dancefloor-focused transformation.

The Story Behind the Prism Metaphor
He built the track alongside producer Arron Storey and lyricist Hugh Webber. Because of this cooperation, the music steps away from traditional acoustic layers. Haunting Ghost Hunts is a group based in Essex. They host public paranormal investigations. The team prefers small groups over large crowds.
They use standard tools to check for environmental changes. These tools include EMF meters and audio recorders. They use them at various historic venues.
