In this episode, we finally kick into gear doing a close read of The Woman in Me. Be prepared for a meticulous read on chapters 1-5, where we cover Britney’s childhood, her parents’ backgrounds and chaotic relationship, her relationship with Grandma Lexie, Bryan Spears' terrifying accident, auditioning in NYC, and, finally, Jamie Lynn Spears being born. 

We kick off season 4 with our initial (and meandering!) thoughts on Britney's long-awaited mysterious book, The Woman in Me. Jaclyn is savoring her read-thru, while Lisa has already started an outline for every chapter - both of us can't wait to do the close read that will be this season!

As we prepare for the book release on Tuesday and our next season, we check in for the final episode of season 3. We talk about the selection of Michelle Williams to read the audiobook, a little about the People cover story, and also do a roundup of the latest news for the other Spearses, but spend the majority of the episode ranting about former Britney boyfriend and current (forever) troll, Justin Timberlake. Consider this episode 2.5 in our Justin series - as he himself says, what goes around comes around!

We're back again! This time to discuss the unexpected and sad news of Britney's divorce. We try to piece together the exclusives/uncouthness/sources/potential narratives that we've seen pop up very quickly since the initial announcement, including the possibility of a new album?! We also share what comfort shows and movies we think Britney might be watching right now as we send her good vibes. 

In this episode, we take a much needed deep dive into an epic poem released by Britney Spears on her Instagram account. We find some time to debate Britney's book cover art, JL's tears, the stylings of Will.I.Am and a few other odds and ends. But this episode belongs to Britney's written word, her creativity, and talent. 

We temporarily emerge from our continued hibernation to react (let's be real - rant!) to the outrageous Daily Fail and Sun articles from this past weekend. We also cover the latest book reports, (the lack of) legal updates, Britney & Lynne's recent possible step forward, a few music rumors and pose a burning question: why can't they afford poop bags?!

We pop in during our (extended) break to say hi and touch base on the last few months, including the continuingly convoluted legal proceedings, the Jamie-centric media pieces, other people from Britney's orbit resurfacing (including JL literally resurfacing out of a helicopter..) and express our frustration at how Britney is being treated on social media and beyond. We also try to guess when the book is coming out and share some thoughts about Pamela Anderson's recent doc (this was recorded before Britney shared her own thoughts on the topic!)

In this episode, we try to make up for everything we missed (but mostly fail!).  We start with a rare discussion on Lurking Larry, move quickly to KFed's concerns about "privacy," wonder about JL's new reality tv show and wade through the email waters of TriStar.  Oh, yeah, and eventually we get to talking about Britney's fatshaming post, her latest voice memos, and everything else under the IG sun!
