This week in light of Eating Disorder Awareness week (1-7th March) we discuss our experiences suffering with Anorexia and Bulimia. This episode aims to hopefully spread awareness of issues around eating and normalise the conversation. We take on this subject in a light-hearted manner but feel it's important to recognise the seriousness of this disease; not everyone has a recovery story to tell. We discuss all things body image and how to learn to love your reflection (despite a lot of society convincing you to hate it). Although this weeks topic is incredibly sensitive, a SisTea episode isn't complete without a few tragic stories... did someone say farting snap mishaps and throwing your keys into industrial bins whilst hungover?
Please leave negative comments to yourself as this was a difficult and very personal topic for both of us.
If you or someone you know is suffering from disordered eating please seek help because you don't have to suffer in silence. We have shared the link to BEAT, a wonderful resource to start anyone on their recovery journey. Let's help more people have a recovery story to share! https://www.beateatingdisorders.org.uk/support-services/helplines
Sending lots of love SisTeam x
P.S. Don't forget to follow us on Instagram and TikTok @sisteapodcast for sneak peaks of future episodes and a couple of our more stupid moments.
