Suffering can spread from one person and affect all of the relationships around us. Can holiness do the same? Can the Holy Spirit within us affect all of those around us? The church and Christian life don't stop suffering, but we can be a part of the rebuild. To rebuild takes a community.

How do we bend like palm trees under the weight of life's storms and suffering?

Does God hear the words and prayers of those who do not believe in God?

We are beginning a study through the Letter of 1 Peter. In the letter, Peter talks a lot about suffering or trials. Today, Peter lays out the foundation for us in dealing with suffering. We must be grounded by our belief in Christ and our salvation.
