Join us with Murray Roberson and take a tour of the 3 ravens brewery then Ben Patterson shares some of his founding original vision for 3 ravens and Dee Wild takes us on a tour of the coworking space in this unique and ever intriguing tour.
Engineered by hand, 3 Ravens beers are the product of a craft brewing process in which traditional methods meet exacting standards. We take care to emphasise quality over quantity and use only the finest natural ingredients. Our Beer now undergoes a gentle filtration to remove fermenter yeast. The age old process of bottle conditioning is then started with a small amount of fresh live brewers yeast. This creates a clearer, brighter beer unmasking and enhancing the flavour, aroma and body of our premium natural ingredients. Cheers!
Their first project, 'Food for Thought', provides nutritious food and creative educational activity for children who have limited opportunities in their lives. Social Opportunity Group partly funds Food for Thought through their social enterprise espresso bar 'The Final Step' which is located in South Yarra, Melbourne, Australia. They also partake in various fundraising activities to make up the rest of the money necessary to fund their grassroots project.
In 2013 Ben Whitaker, Social Opportunity Group's founder, turned his espresso bar into a social enterprise that now donates 100% of it's profits. In the same year he moved to Argentina to join forces with his good friend Valeria to facilitate Food for Thought. He returns to Australia and New Zealand once a year to action fundraising events. Parts of Argentina are like a rich European country, other parts are very much third world. Health and Education are two areas that are in desperate need of improvement. This is why Social Opportunity Group is aiming at children and focusing on Food and Creative Activity within the Monte Chingolo community in the provinces of Greater Buenos Aires. They want to support children in making sensible decisions for themselves and those around them, today and for the rest of their lives. More details can be found at socialopportunitygroup.com

FIELD NOTES IS A LIMITED EDITION 80 PAGE BOOK OF NICOLE REED'S PHOTOGRAPHY THAT CONTAINS A 10" VINYL RECORD OF MUSIC BY PLUTONIC LAB.
Pozible project http://www.pozible.com/project/196951
The collaborative work 'Field Notes' began development when Nicole Reed and Leigh Ryan began exploring and documenting their travels together. The first instalment is centered on the city of Hong Kong, and engages a uniquely tailored adaptation of the travel experience, blending the insights of Reed's photography along with Ryan's soundscapes.
"Hong Kong has always been a place that has held a massive interest for us, and when we visited, we naturally documented our travels as much as we could. We fell in love with Hong Kong and what we captured exceeded our expectations which lead us to the idea of Field Notes.""I have always wanted to produce a book of my photography and people have always asked me when I'll be working one. The images I took in Hong Kong have really inspired me to pursue this. We brainstormed the idea of using field recordings and thought the music created from them made an incredible backdrop for the images.""We wanted to combine our work in a unique and complimentary way, and as a creator of records and a fan of collecting them, the idea of inserting a vinyl record into the back seemed a perfect way of creating something tangible, analog and beautiful.

International podcast day .com with Steve Lee #PodcastDay SEPTEMBER 30, 2015 Join Steve Lee the owner of Announce Solutions an IT consulting firm. After retiring from the Air Force he worked as an IT Consultant for such companies as, Computer Sciences Corporation, Modern Technologies Inc., International Consultants and IBM. Steve is also the founder of Modern Life Podcast Network, Modern Life Discussions, Two Thumbs Up Media podcast directory, Prescott Logistics, Building Market Place and International Podcast Day. Steve has been a four time Podcast Award finalist and with over 3,000 podcast episodes produced on his network.
There is National IPA Day, National Waffle Fries Day, National Pancake Day, and National pretty-much-anything-you-want Day. In the summer of 2013, Steve Lee (founder of Modern Life Network) heard a radio announcement for National Senior Citizens' Day. Thinking that was pretty cool, it begged the question of why wasn't there a day of celebration for podcasting. That's when Steve said to himself "Let's create a Podcast Day!" So the adventure began and a collective team of podcasters put their heads together to establish methods for podcasters and podcast listeners to raise awareness for this great entertainment and education medium. After the overwhelming success of Podcast Day 2014 the event was rebranded to International Podcast Day to ensure the world is involved.
"September 30th will be a day to celebrate podcast producers and a day to celebrate podcast consumers around the world," said Steve Lee. "It's a day where we can educate the world about the wonders of podcasting."
As more and more mainstream broadcasters and celebrities start releasing podcasts, the market is booming and the download numbers don't lie. The entertainment system in the car you will be driving in as early as two years will be able to stream podcasts. Airlines have already stocked their "inflight entertainment" options with various podcasts flyers can listen to at 34,000 feet.
It's like being in the early days of TV and Radio, but also it has provided an avenue to create audio and video information, education and entertainment, which can't be found through traditional media. It is thought that as podcasting becomes a more integral aspect of entertainment, education and self expression, the public needs to be familiar with the term and know what they are. This is where where International Podcast Day comes in.
InternationalPodcastDay.com has been set up, not only as a resource, but also as a site where current podcasters, listeners or anyone curious about podcasting can go and learn about the industry, get the word out about this broadcast medium. Remember that podcasting is meant to be both educational and fun.
Lee and his team want everyone to go out and spread the word; International Podcast Day is September 30.
Let's Start The Conversation!
