Did you ever read the Da Vinci Code? It was a very interesting read a few years back, and this work of fiction introduced the notion that when the New Testament was being formed a conspiracy existed designed to silence certain voices and elevate others. It was a fun read. It was also purely fictional. The New Testament was formed through a process that was both spiritually mature and largely unbiased. In this week’s installment of Bible 101 we look at the formation of the New Testament as we strive to better understand the most important book in history.

God wants to talk with you. Think about that. The creator of the universe wants to be in conversation with you. The most common way God speaks to us is through the Bible. Over the course of the next four weeks, join us as we undertake a new series called Bible 101. We’ll look at the formation and structure of the Bible as well as how we can better apply what we learn to our lives.

What does it mean to be wise? Within scripture, there is a genre called the Wisdom Literature. These books, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Job outline three very different worldviews, but they each teach a part of what wisdom looks like.
