Praise means to eulogize, make merry, to celebrate.
Thanksgiving is ascribing all the glory to God for his deeds in our lives. Psalm 103:1-2
We all owe God with thanks. Psalm 116:12
WHAT SHOULD WE THANK GOD FOR?
1. For our salvation. 2 Timothy 1:9
2. For the gift of life. Psalm 150:6
3. For providing all our needs. Philippians 4:19
4. For giving us testimonies. Psalm 68:19
5. For deliverance from satanic plans. Psalm 1124:7-8
6. For using us former sinners to preach the gospel to current sinners.
THREE ELEMENTS OF PRAISE AND THANKSGIVNG
1. It should be done with cheerfulness
2. It should be done quickly and promptly. Jeremiah 13:16. Glory that belongs to God is poisonous to man.
3. It should be done by faith.
2. With our words. Hebrews 14:15
3. With songs, instruments and the dance. Psalm 92:1-3
4. With our testimonies. Psalm 92:4-5
5. With an offering. Psalm 96:6-8.
