Lord's Day 18 teaches us about the benefits of Christ's ascension. One very signal benefit is the gift of the Holy Spirit, which demonstrates God's commitment to communicating to his people all the blessings of the covenant of grace.

God through Isaiah invites all who are thirsty to be satisfied by believing his word, as every necessary blessing is promised in his everlasting covenant.
