Dr. Crane tells the story of the crossing of the Jordan river. The Lord had the people build two stone memorials, to serve as a remembrance of what God had done this day, and as a proclamation to their children, and to others of the glory of God. Today Christians participate in communion as a remembrance of what Jesus did on the cross, and as a proclamation to others.

Dr. Crane tells the story of how God, through the leadership of Joshua, led the people of Israel to cross the Jordan river. The people had to be physically and spiritually ready to follow the guidance of God into a place they had never been before. We are reminded to keep our eyes on God, not on the crowd.

Dr. Crane tells us about the commission God gave to Joshua concerning the promised land. God called Joshua to be strong and courageous, promising his presence, and commanding Joshua to mediate on and obey His Word. Believers today are called to know God's Word, talk about God's Word, meditate on God's Word, and obey God's Word. This will bring them victory in God's kingdom.

Jason Carr tells us about the backstory of Joshua as we begin a new series in the book of Joshua. Jason shows us how we can trusting in God's faithfulness even when we can't see what he's doing. Just as the Israelites had to learn to be patient with God, we can practice patience as well.

Jakob King shows how Jonah had to come face to face with his own attitudes about other people, and learning to accept that God wants everyone to repent, even our enemies. We need to evaluate our attitude about God's compassion toward others.

Dr. Crane shows how God can use "storms" in our lives to bring us back to him when we have run away from him. Jonah's prayer shows us that no matter how far we fell away from God, we can call out to him, and he will hear us.

Dr. Crane begins a study of the short book of Jonah by looking at how Jonah ran away from God when he called him to a mission to a place filled with people that Jonah hated, and asks us to consider when we have run away from God's call on our lives.

Jakob King finishes our look into God's character by sharing about God's faithfulness toward us, how he keeps our promises to us, and how we can trust God, even when things seem difficult. We then can reflect God's faithfulness to us in our faithfulness to others.
