Mark 15:21-41
Jesus was a man on a mission to invite men and women into the Kingdom of God that He was establishing on Earth. To ensure his mission continued upon his departure, Jesus poured his life into a small number of people and instructed them to pour into others so that the Kingdom of God would begin to cascade forth as a global movement. Jesus called Disciples to make Disciples. This fall, Ecclesia sees to reclaim and reignite the disciplemaking ministry of all believers so that Jesus' last words become our first priority.
Kings, by Jordan Lott
I breathe in sharply, swallowing doubts again
Or else completely lose my way to ever fickle whim
Days on end, we chase heavenly eclipse
Searching for truth and forcing ankles, knees, and hips
My neck is tight, I keep straining to look up
As expectations soar, allowing new fears to develop
But we continue onward, so I laboriously lift my weighted brow...
Magnificent...the star above...it’s pulsing now
I marvel at the brilliant blaze we follow
Morning, day, and night, no time to wallow
I’m committed to seeing this through for the promise
And find this distant mystery that has called us
We sometimes question our trust in signs
Although...truth has risen into the skies
So we anxiously wait for our journey to end
And yearn for the glory and truth that transcends
These last few days our minds are abuzz
As we pass cities blind to the ethereal changes
Our confidence grows as the star slows down
And stops above little Bethlehem town
We find faith anew in a baby’s eyes
All doubt subsides as we gaze at heaven, alive
We replace all our disbelief with a new creed
Faith, assurance, requires just a mustard seed
