Have you ever wondered why you're enduring certain changes? Or, have you ever simply wanted God to explain Himself? Today, we'll look at a moment in history when God caught someone off-guard. Moses didn't ask for change, he didn't feel prepared for change. But it still happened. So, he asked good questions. And while God didn't answer the way Moses wanted, He showed us where to find unmoving peace when our world is shifting.

Do the surprises we experience in life have any purpose? Some would say that God set the world in motion, then stepped away to watch where the chips would fall. Others might believe God makes broad changes, but is unconcerned with everyday life. Some think God is punishing them while others just want to believe God likes novelty. Today, we'll continue to examine a time when God moved dramatically in history and try to uncover the big reason God gives for the disruption.

Today, we get to learn from an historic move of God. The people moved faced the same data, but came up with completely different responses. The way we respond in this moments makes all the difference-not just in how we experience the surprises of life, but in what those changes do for us. Will we be strengthened, emboldened for the road ahead; or will we see transition as just one more reason to fear?

If God's people place their REAL HOPE in an everlasting love relationship with the Father, they can bring LIFE to any immediate context He places them in.

We all want to be happy and fulfilled. And a lot of us believe that when it comes to finding fulfillment sexually, the only attempts off-limits to us are ones that limit someone else's attempt to find it. Otherwise, do what you want. Jesus seems to think differently. He seems to think that doing only what we want may, in fact, be the worst thing we could try. In the new civilization Jesus is describing, citizens will go to unreal lengths sometimes to avoid doing what they want.
