Pulse, our new teaching series on the life of a healthy church, continues this week with Lead Pastor Jon Ritner. Today we are exploring the rightful place that Jesus is to have in the life of a church. Have you ever noticed how the giant outdoor cross above the Hollywood Bowl sits atop a hill, or how the cross on top of European Cathedrals is often the highest point of the old city, or even how the Christ the Redeemer statue is at the peak of a mountain overlooking Rio de Janeiro? For generations, the global church has tried to symbolize the place that Jesus has in the world, whether the world acknowledges it or not. Today, we will see why Jesus deserves to be put in His place and what impact that should have in our lives.

Our new lead pastor Jon Ritner shared some of his personal journey of faith and how God has redeemed pain in his past to impact the lives of others. God can use the pain in His followers lives, and redeem it for the benefit of others. Like Jesus, we can "steward our pain" to provide comfort to others, as we ourselves have been comforted.
