Ecclesiastes 1-2 teaches that only God gives to us enjoyment and satisfaction in life. Endless enjoyment does not come in a box, does not come from sex, it is not the key ring to your dream house. We all know what it’s like to have tasted the best life has to offer and still be left wondering what comes next. God has to give us enjoyment, or the thing itself (box, sex, house) will leave us unsatisfied.
